The Corporation of the Township of Melancthon is now accepting applications for the following position:

Public Works Equipment Operator Seasonal Position (42.5 Hours per Week) November 23, 2026 to April 2, 2027

The Township of Melancthon is seeking a skilled and reliable individual to fill the position of Public Works Equipment Operator for the 2026-2027 winter season. Reporting to the Public Works Superintendent and Public Works Foreperson, the successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining municipal equipment, including snowplow and sanding equipment, while assisting with winter maintenance operations to ensure the safety of the travelling public.

Qualifications Include

• Valid DZ Driver's Licence (AZ Licence preferred)
• Clean driver's abstract
• Experience operating dump trucks with snowplow/sander combinations
• Experience operating graders with snowplow attachments
• Experience in road maintenance and construction
• Ability to respond to emergency callouts within 30 minutes
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Working knowledge of applicable health and safety policies and procedures

Compensation: $32.36 to $36.42 per hour
