Facility Maintenance Operator

Position Details

• Contract Duration: 6 months
• Department: Facilities

Responsible for maintenance and/or repair work related to designated Town of Newmarket owned and operated facilities, performing routine and unscheduled maintenance tasks on physical plant equipment and buildings and any other assigned areas, including:

• Ice making and quality assurance
• Equipment inspection, maintenance and repair
• Supplies inventory maintenance
• Control and record keeping duties
• Facilities set-up and clean-up
• Complaints resolution
• Providing assistance and customer service liaison duties

Co-ordinates and assists the work of, and provides guidance to, assigned contractors and tradespeople. Assists in the orientation and training of new staff regarding facilities and unfamiliar equipment, as requested.
